Hi Catie, firstly, thank you so much! I'm so glad you like the books. To answer your question, once I have an idea, I do a lot of thinking, mostly while walking my dog.
When I think I have a good idea of who my character is, I start writing. Once I start, I try to write every day. I like to get a first draft written as quickly as I can, just so I can see what's going to happen in the story!
Then I put it aside for a while before I go back to the start and begin to edit. This works at a slower pace! Thanks for your question A.L.
