I'm only about 50 pages in and so far it's not really doing a whole lot for me but I see such incredible reviews. Does the book get better as it goes or am I just missing the point if it doesn't grip me straight from the get-go?

But my wife is from China, and our son came here when he was 12, so I can relate to the problems due to language and customs. If you want to understand better, I think this will be very informative.(less)
