Shivanee Ramlochan
Shivanee Ramlochan asked Andre Bagoo:

Have you ever come to a frontier in your work that you've felt hesitant to explore? If yes, how did you overcome it? If no, what words of advice might you offer to writers who have difficulty actualizing their work -- getting out of their own heads, say, and onto the page? (Ironic, right, because the head is the fountain for so much of what we do.)

Andre Bagoo All the time. To writers out there encountering that hesitation or discomfort, I'd say lean into it. When something feels difficult, I think it's more likely to be true. By all means stay in your head if you wish but bring all of your insecurities to bear in service of whatever you are writing.
