My question is about scene and sequel. My book follows 4 characters including the main character who is a private detective. Does the sequel to a character’s scene have to or need to follow immediately after the scene to which it relates; or can it be placed elsewhere in the book? Thank you.

It can be placed later in the book, if you've made the characters distinctive enough that the reader can put himself/herself back into the right track. For example, George RR Martin's books follow multiple characters over many books.

I saw where Mid-Night Texas was renewed and was so glad to see/hear that. Will there be more books maybe? I am a fan...I loved the Snookie Stackhouse books and the Aurora Teagarden's as well. I have enjoyed Hallmark's take on the Teagarden mysteries. I wasn't a fan of True Blood, I felt the books were great and why couldn't they stick with story line.

I'm looking for a recommendation for similar authors that you like or have heard about. I also want to say that I really appreciate your availability to your readers and your personal responses.
