Have you ever thought about wrtting a character on the autism spectrum?

Elle Kennedy I haven’t, but that's because I think it’s incredibly important for an author to be knowledgeable on the finer details of a disorder or disability in order to portray that character in the appropriate and sensitive light. When I wrote about Summer's anxiety in The Chase, I was confident I was doing her justice because I understood her struggle, since I suffer from an anxiety disorder myself. I would hate to tackle a character on the autism spectrum and get it wrong ☹
