Markham is one of my favourite characters and he seems to become increasingly mysterious with each book. I have developed a great many number of Theories (tm). Are we ever going to find out more about his background? (And is that letter (you know perfectly well which one!) perhaps just a red herring?)

Jodi Taylor Hi. He's one of my favourite characters, too. Originally, in the first book I killed him off and then changed my mind. I'm so glad I did. I'm writing the latest book at this moment and I think more details might emerge. Whether or not this will make things any clearer, I'm not sure. We'll have to wait and see.

Hello Jodi. I'm addicted to your books and very much enjoy reading all your 'themes'. Noting the 'local' connections is that why you named the St Mary's Director 'Edward Bairstow'? Are we likely to have any references made to the English (Yorkshire) composer of the same name whose musical life included York Minster, or any musical elements in your stories? Hi Jodi. I have become a huge fan of the Chronicles of St Mary's books, and I started reading them around the same time that I was writing my first book, so they've become a big inspiration and aspiration as far as cohesive plots with likeable characters. I wanted to ask if you sometimes get an idea, then work it into a St Mary's plot as you're already rolling with them, and if you have some ideas reserved for later?
