I recently read the entire Joe O'Loughlin series and adored it! I hope to see more of Joe in the future. Thank you for all of your hard work and creating such interesting characters. After finishing The Other Wife, I started reading Life or Death and was surprised and thrilled that not only was it set in Texas but it also featured The Woodlands which is my hometown. What made you want to write a book based in Texas?
Michael Robotham
Life or Death began with a small newspaper story about a man who escaped from prison the day before his expected release. I decided to set it in the US because America has a great history of prison based or inspired stories such as The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. Initially I planned to set in in Arkansas and spent several weeks in the Ozark Mountains researching locations until I realised I needed a more urban setting. I was touring a new novel in Texas and used that time to change the locations. I'm really pleased you enjoyed it. Happy reading.

I am reading The Suspect. I'm halfway through and enjoying it a lot. However, I'm confused about the Joe O'Loughlin books. I thought this was the first book of a series, where I always want to begin. I was looking at your books on Amazon and found several Joe O'Loughlin books that were written previously (Lost, which was Book #2, was written in 2014). Can you explain the sequence of the Joe O'Loughlin books? Thanks!

i absolutely loved the secrets she kept - it is the 1st of your books that i have read, and i look forward to reading each and every one! i am just confused by literally, the last lines. she doesnt know her daughters name? her mother lives in Leeds - is she delusional? cause she might be a psychological mess throughout the book, but she knows everything she has done is wrong, no?
