A Goodreads user asked Mark Lee Gardner:

Hello again Mr. Gardner, Good news! I am already happily engulfed in your Shot all to Hell. My question: have you considered or have any interest in bringing to us Western devotees, the definitive account of the gunfight at the OK Corral and/or the Johnson County War? Lastly, did you happen to see Steve McQueen's account of Tom Horn? Rough Riders is next as soon as I finish Shot all to Hell. Thank you!! Andrew

Mark Lee Gardner Hi, Andrew. Jeff Guinn published a very good book on the OK Corral trouble back in 2012 titled The Last Gunfight, so unless there's some amazing never-before-seen information that comes to light, there's probably no need for another book. The Johnson County War is definitely interesting, but probably not enough name recognition for a national audience. It's been several years since I saw McQueen's take on Tom Horn, but I did enjoy that film. Larry Ball's Tom Horn in Life and Legend (2014) is the definitive biography.

Very glad you're liking Shot All To Hell. Hope you can say the same about Rough Riders! Please post a review -- even a few sentences will do.

Mark
