Hi Jodi When might the third 'Cage' book be published, please? Will your change of publisher affect this series? Getting very excited as the due date for your latest St Mary's book approaches - I've preordered! Keep writing jill m

Hi, thanks for your question. I do have a third book scheduled for the future. At the moment it's a series of unconnected notes, scribbles and ideas which all need pulling together. I embarked on the Elizabeth Cage series with the typical Taylor failure to plan for the future and I really should sit down and decide in which direction to take it.
The change of publisher hasn't made a lot of difference - they bought my contracts from Accent Press as they stood. So far they seem unfazed by my disorganisation and my frequent comma failures.
Best wishes,
Jodi

Can't think of a way to word this so it's not a spoiler.
In the Battersea Chronicles the end of the story rests on a point of law in the constitutional monarchy - that of a member of the Royal Family declaring the government unfit for purpose. I know a little about constitutional monarchy but not nearly enough to know - is that legally possible? Or are have you stretched things in your alternate universe?

Love your books! I do wonder about the work the team does. Are all their recorders hand-held? That seems like it would be obvious, holding up a recorder. Do they have multiple recorders on them, like spy cameras in their hats? Drones that look like birds? What about the flora and fauna? I know Max has no interest in that (she refers to "big white birds" in Egypt), but somewhere there's a "nature" historian.

Thank you for the answer about POD plods. I feel better now! I’m re-reading the St Mary’s books and I’m struck by the insight into human nature and the compassion that is in the stories, as well as the wit and humour which seem just as fresh to me second time round. You seem to be prolific! I am trying to write something myself. Do you have any advice? Do you set yourself targets each day? Plot first?
