Is the Lady Detective that Veronica is enjoying in this book a real series? Or was it made up just for her character? Because if it is real, and it catches HER attention that much, then I think I'd like it. If not, if it's solely for the sake of the story, then I'm sad.

Deanna Raybourn Arcadia Brown is a fictional detective I created as a series within a series--maybe one day I'll get to write a short adventure for her!

I love Julia Gray series but I really love the Veronica Speedwel stories with Stoker. Their energy tension between them is captivating. There's got to be a lovely gentleman in this world that actually embodies Stoker's attractiveness and narliness in the same body?
