David Briggs asked:

what did you find most interesting part of the book?

Crissy Bauman I wouldn't say this is what I found most interesting, but I did find it curious that the Osage, who were being killed off for their money, were restricted access to their money by their guardians and yet they were building grand houses, shipping their children off to school in Europe and wearing fancy, European clothing.

That seems like such a contradiction, and perhaps the author meant that the free and elaborate spending began when the Osage first became wealthy, and as time went on access to money became more and more restricted. Particularly because so many people are suspected of being murdered, and there were apparently so few guardians.
