Have you ever had any inspiration from reading other books? On the cover of the Unwanteds it says "the Hunger Games meets Harry Potter" Was some of your inspiration from those kind of books?

Lisa McMann I love that review quote on the cover of The Unwanteds, and I love The Hunger Games and Harry Potter. But those weren't actually my inspirations for The Unwanteds series. If I were to pick books that inspired me when writing my series, I'd say The Giver and the Chronicles of Narnia.
