Stranger Things made a story borrowing elements from King's stories, and now King is sort of making his own perspective on Stranger Things. Like, we saw Eleven after she got out and a few things that were going on inside the lab in the show, and in the book we get to see sort of what kinds of things could theoretically go on there.
