I'm currently working on the sequel to my novel, "Go Stand Upon the Rock." But part of writing involves research -- especially if you're writing about something complex, technical, or historical. If you really don't know much about your topic, don't try to bluff your readers. You don't have to become an expert, but do some homework first, so you can write intelligently about the topic.

Sam, I just started reading your book "Go Stand Upon the Rock" as the result of comments from the local chapter of the SUVCW of which we both belong. I have a very silly question about "dates". On the inside cover page it indicates "Copyright 2012" At the end of the "Epilogue" on page 280 it indicates "Thanksgiving 2013" and the back page says "Made on 23 Feb 2015." How does one reconcile the first 2 dates?
