Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Matthew Keeley I've always been fascinated with the paranormal and hearing people's inexplicable ghostly encounters. One night, years ago, I was thinking about the idea of ghosts and the way we always seem to assume that they must be the spirits of those who have died. But I wondered - what if they weren't from the past, but from the future. Maybe they're glimpses of people who've come back to watch us. From there, I began planning and eking out the idea into a story of historians in the future whose job is to travel back to visit important events and people in the past.
