Hi Mark, Honorous Jorg Ancrath made it immediately on top of my favorite characters list. Any plans on coming up with more controversial protagonists like him in the future, or was the backlash of quite a few readers discouraging? I just love his (your) worldview and sense of humor. There should be more books out there that can spark some strong feelings among readers.

I don't plan stuff in general, and certainly not my writing, so no plans, no.
But the polarised reactions to Jorg definitely helped make the trilogy successful, so I am only encouraged by the backlash ... if you can call it that.

Hello Mr.Lawrence! I just finished the Broken Empire trilogy. I took my time reading it so I could savor every second. <3 It's hands down in my top 3 favorite trilogies so THANK YOU! Gushing aside... I've just started the "Red Queen' s War"'s first book and I'm curious how you pronounce Jalan? I assume it's a "j" like jam. But is it Jal-en? Or Juh-lahn? Excuse my awkward phonetics.

I'm always more than ready for my favorite authors' next books ... But ... With a small bit of guilt, I admit that when looking to read something from a writer I've not tried before, the cover art does influence my next-book-choice almost as much as the paragraph to entice me in. Do you have a similar style in choosing your artists? ... A few tried-'n-true favorites? ... Or as open as choosing my next book?
