Goodreads asked Patricia W. Fischer:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Patricia W. Fischer The flexibility of working anywhere and I can write until I'm 100 years old. I love creating these amazing characters, towns, places, situations. It's remarkable how the characters will play out, tell you what they want to say, who they are, and how they handle a situation.

The downside is most people think you aren't actually "working" because you're at home. Or when you are working, they think you're not busy because you're sitting.
