Hi! I'm a big fan of your work and since reading the House of Night, something has been bugging me. what happens when someone with a mental illness or disorders, such as schizophrenia, is marked? Since medicines wouldn't work on them anymore, I just keep wondering about how they live in the House of Nights.

P.C. Cast Well, I would imagine natural selection keeps this from happening - or perhaps they would reject the Change and not be able to become fully formed vampyres. If they do Change the mental illness is cured by their new abilities.
