We had a running joke between us that I wouldn't read female authors. Which I tended not to. For no particular reason other than to, in fun, remind her of it. We shared that. Our surname is Taylor. She has passed. I'm thinking karma is winking at me in reading this book. I chose it noting the author had a gender-neutral given name. Now this. I'm only just into the first part of it. Enjoying it.
