Hello Mrs. Donnelly! Is your day going well so far? Anyways, I noticed that a lot of people want you to make more books in the Waterfire Saga. I feel like the end of the fourth book really made it feel like the end of a series and if you added a fifth installment it would be a bit awkward. I feel like you should make another series instead(albeit a short one) because the Waterfire Saga doesn't feel complete. Thanks!

Jennifer Donnelly Hi Stellina! You are right, I DO get lots of requests to write a fifth book in the Waterfire Saga - but I think yours is the first request to write a whole new series to continue the story! At some point, I'd love to continue the story -- with a new book *or* a new series -- as I miss those merls (and there's still danger lurking out beneath the waves!) ... I just don't know when! 😘
