Jill Campbell-Mason asked Rebecca Winkler:

I am looking for a writing critique partner for a nonfiction tragic/humorous book regarding my parents' last years as extraordinary people facing ordinary and quixotic situations,. Meant to help others facing dilemmas and issue with aging parents. I have a first edit ready of about 85,00 words. Would yo be interested? Jill, a psychologist of 71 young years

Rebecca Winkler Hello Jill,
First, I am honored to be asked to be a critique partner. I am currently a caregiver for a 98 year old who is basically blind with only a little bit of peripheral vision in both eyes. She has lived with me for 15 years and I've seen the changes in her from driving a car, working crosswords puzzles, and sewing, to sitting in her room wearing her Depends, and listening to the old reruns of western TV shows. Gunsmoke and Bonanza are her favorites because she remembers what they look like and can distinguish their voices.

Having said that, I am stressed to the gills and may need your psychology training to sort out my life. :)

I'm interested in what their situations were, and would love to find some humor in this aging process. I do have a question for you...is the word count 8,500 or 85,000 words?

Before I commit, may I take a look at the ms?

Thanks,
Rebecca
