Hi, I just finished your short story from the Matchup collection and I really enjoyed it. I was just curious about how different writing with a short term partner is compared to your normal writing or writing a full length novel with a partner?

I've never written a full-length novel with a collaborator, so I can't speak to that. But writing a short story (or graphic novel) with another writer can be both fun and a real challenge, especially when the other writer is based in a different genre. Since I come from urban fantasy and Andrew Gross from thrillers, we had to negotiate a lot, but in the end, I think the story turned out pretty well.

How many times does a manuscript generally get rejected before finally being accepted for publication? I've wanted to be an author all my life, and have finally finished two novels; I have no idea how to start in terms of publishing them, but I do know the chance of rejection is high.
