Dave's taste in music was frozen in place when he was 19-20 years old, and will be listening to those same albums until he dies, deciding that everything that came out after that was garbage. Amy likes trance and J-pop and other genres where either there are no lyrics or she can't understand them, because she uses it to block out distractions while she's on her laptop. John is a musician and is thus something of a music snob with incredibly particular tastes, but also everything he likes is utter shit.

When you started, was soy sauce intentionally a metaphor for the internet? It's this non-physical connection that doesn't necessarily make you smarter, but bombards you with information at an infinitely higher speed and quantity you're used to while simultaneously opening you up to monsters that have the personalities of 14-year-old boys, no empathy, and infinite time.
