Aliana Fernandez De Cossio Cause she's BRILLIANT!

That last line, "The only question that remains is: which truth was she manipulating?" will have me thinking about it for days!!!

Personally I think the letter was a cover up. Then again, if the manuscript was true writing it and printing it was a stupid idea..... Still think the letter was a cover up.
Doreto Kozareva The letter is a lie. There is no normal person/mother who would write this way about his dead children ...
Gbolahan To show us that, despite what you think you know, you know nothing, Jon Snow. 😁

angie (taylor's version) I think the sole purpose of the letter is to raise doubts. In the case of Verity, in Lowen (or Jeremy, if he had been the one who read the letter) and in the case of Colleen, in us. I can't believe that a person can invent all those attacks and thoughts against their own daughters (or daughter) without having them. Maybe projecting them onto someone else for a book, yes, but on yourself? Sadistic. And pretend to be in a vegetative state? Súper sadistic.
June I think she gave you a choice which was really true. I didn’t believe it for one minute. She was a manipulative bitch.

Sheila I actually think that Verity writing it as some form of release or coping strategy to deal with the experience makes more sense than her writing a whole ass manuscript and printing it at that, with the potential it has to be a prime evidence to all her supposed crimes
Franco D Why not? If it's about the story line, it's ok, as good an ending as any other. But what I do not like is that the quality of the writing/storytelling in the last few chapters was relatively poor compared to the rest of the book.

Robbie White If the letter WAS true why wouldn't Verity have turned to someone for help, including Lowen? Also what about what her father said to Jeremy?
Maribeth what did Verity's father say to Jeremy
Ann-Marie Ha ha! I know, right?! It keeps you guessing about Verity's level of sanity - or not.
Hui To make you really uncomfortable and question the actions of the main characters. Depending on your view of the letter, either Verity is the most tragic figure, or she's a surreally psychotic and manipulative person she's entirely beyond redemption.

Matty Powell I feel the same way!!!!
Sue S Yup...agree...Liked it until the "truth" letter found in Verity's bedroom. Of course, the author gives the option of believing it or not!
Nazeera☕︎ Somehow believe the manuscript was her way of letting out the guilt.
Mike To make you ask this question!
Greg Alicia, what was the new chapter, the letter or the epilogue?
Jim i assumed the question referred to the new chapter. i still agree w/the question
