Hello, Mrs. Nielsen! You are an amazing author, and I have recommended your books to many of my friends. And I enjoy both reading and writing books, so I was wondering: a) What made you decide to write historical fiction along with pure fantasy? b) Is there a completely different mindset you use when you're moving from writing in the fantasy genre to writing in the historical fiction genre?

Thanks for your kind words. I never consider genre when deciding what book to write. I simply write the book that lights up my imagination. But I do have to shift mindsets for what I write. Whereas in a fantasy genre, my imagination is the limit, in historical fiction, I must abide by the constructs of the time period, and if I put it in the book, it must be plausible for the rules of the time.
