Krueger is pretty good about filling you in on the important things you need to know, so you could read this book alone. But I started this series with the very first book--Boundary Lake?--and read the whole thing in order. It's really better that way because you get to really know the characters and experience all that they've been through to get where they are today.

I am reading Blood Hollow right now book 4 in the series. You could read them in any order because as in a previous comment WKK fills you in nicely about the characters and their relationship to one another. Having said that I would recommend reading them in chronological order if you can, it was good to follow the character development and understand the community and region the stories were set in. WKKs writing makes you feel like you are right there, weaves a good tale, just when you think you have it figured out, he throws a curve ball. The endings always build to a point where you can’t put the book down as you get drawn into the drama and tense excitement (danger) that unfolds. Start with Iron Lake and carry on from there, you won’t be disappointed.
