Goodreads asked J.T. Patten:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

J.T. Patten I like to share a story that helps someone escape their reality a bit. I try to write in short chapters so a commuter or a parent waiting for a child at a music lesson or sport's practice can get in a dose of escapism. We all need to let go a bit for a moment to ourselves. In some cases, we made life decisions to please others at the expense of ourselves. The military and intelligence community is an area that people dream of but can't always pursue. So here's ten minute sections of "what if it were me" that readers can enjoy.
