Are we likely to have any references made to the English (Yorkshire) composer of the same name whose musical life included York Minster, or any musical elements in your stories? Thanks for your question. Edward Bairstow was an accidental name. I always knew he would be Edward and I wanted something punchy for his surname and it seemed to me that Edward Bairstow rolled off the tongue quite nicely. Sorry to disappoint you, but I am still writing like a madwoman, if that helps.

Love your books! I do wonder about the work the team does. Are all their recorders hand-held? That seems like it would be obvious, holding up a recorder. Do they have multiple recorders on them, like spy cameras in their hats? Drones that look like birds? What about the flora and fauna? I know Max has no interest in that (she refers to "big white birds" in Egypt), but somewhere there's a "nature" historian.

I don't particularly like time-travel or supernatural, so I wondered whether you have plans to write another Regency romance? If I do decide to try the St. Mary's Chronicles series, do they need to be read in order?
