Hi, my mother and I adore your work. It's been just about a month since we started and I've already gobbled up 3 books and bought a few more! Your writing style is epic and what sets you apart from other authors is the emphasis you put on the protagonist and her emotions and not on the ancillary characters. Well, the question is who is your favorite author from the crime & psychological thriller genre?

Hi! Thanks for your very kind note and please pass on my best wishes to your mother, Charru. Sorry for the late reply. I have been out of the country, and now that I'm back, I'm packing, as we are moving to a new house. My favourite author, ever, would have to be Ross Macdonald, whose novels I discovered about 1970. He made a huge impression on me. Also around that time a very famous Canadian author named Margaret Laurence took an interest in me and was very encouraging. There are many authors today that I love and I hate to single out one. Okay, maybe Stephen King. All the best!

I am such a huge fan of your books! I was hooked when I read No Time for Goodbye. You are my one and only auto buy author that hasn't disappointed me even once. Whatever book of yours is out there - I read it - I love it! Are you ever coming to Germany? If not I might even travel to the UK if you're going there at some point. It would be amazing to meet you and get a book signed!

I'm halfway through Whistle and loving it. So what I needed after a hard week--absorbing and imaginative. Thank you. I'm sensing strong echoes of Needful Things (mentioned in your book) and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Did these books influence you during the writing?
