Being an avid fan of Lisa and have read most of her work, i feel there is a lot of similarity between characters in Hathaways and Ravenels. Like Helen reminded me of Win Wes reminds me of Leo Pandora feels like an attempt to create an eccentric character like Beatrix. Rhys reminds me of Harry Rutledge And from what i have read so far Cassandra reminds me of Poppy. Does anyone else feels the same?

Rose Maria Wow....now you mentioned it even I feel so....and yeah even I feel Pandora as Beatrix and Cassandra as poppy....just waiting for romantic Cassandra and high functioning sociopath tom
Lana I think that Tom will be more like Rutledge. Rhys has some similarities with Harry, but he's not sociopathic like those two. And, as someone mentioned in the reviews, West is a lot more like Merripen.
Nimy Sarah Alex I saw the similarities too. But Pandora reminded me more of Poppy!
Floreader42 I really like this series, but I detect little lack of originality, not only in the characters, but also in the stories. This book is very similar to another book by this author: Where dreams begin. The story is almost the same, especially on the subject of Phoebe's promise to her late husband. And the book that follows seems like it's going to be similar to Rhys and Helen's, but I think it's going to be much more like Poppy and Harry's book ...
Laura I can see where you're coming from, but I have liked the Ravenels MUCH more than I liked the Hathaways.
Chocho_fly I thought the same too! 😂. Especially when I read about Helen and Rhys Winterborne. While reading it I always thought about Win and Kev, especially Helen has a lot of similarities to Win. Pandora does similar to Beatrix now that you’ve mentioned about it. Kathleen reminds me of Amelia with all being responsible to the younger girls etc.
Clarlee Yes they do! They can be a combination of both too.
Like.. West is very hands-on and knowledgeable like Merripen, but more playful and have a mix of Leo. (How West purposely teased Devon about Kathleen, to see his reaction.
Pandora is like Beatrix, but Pandora is more determined to NOT be married and to make her own fortune.
Helen and Win, Poppy and Helen, and Rhys and Harry.
Though Harry won brownies point for making Medusa the hedgehog comfortable with him!
Renaissancecat22 I think it's more like she has a few H/h types and pieces get recycled to create new characters. Like, Helen looks like Win and also says stuff about wanting to be more than ornamental. But Win had more backbone. Helen doesn't do much until the end of the book. Rhys has Kev's build and some similarities but he's also got pieces of Sebastian, Devil, Cam, etc. He's a beta in a good way. Romantic hero with lots of resources and his emotional baggage is pretty minimal relatively speaking.
Catherine yes, I can see what you mean. I agree with most of what you said; And Phoebe reminds me of Catherine.
Erika For me, West is more like Merripen
Carol That is a very good point! And you are so right. Now that I think about it Leo and West do sound similar. I'm interested to see what happens with West and Phoebe though.:-)
