Hello! What's your advice for an amatuer writer whose native language isn't English but wants to write in English?

Darren Shan Read lots of books in English and write lots -- the more you write, the easier it will come.

Do you plot your stories, or do the facts come to you when you're writing?

Junguv asked Darren Shan:

Hello Mr Shan i just wanted to ask where the insperation for the demonata series came from . Did it come from your own experiance of a paranormal event or a tramumatic expriance with a ghost at a young age ?

A Goodreads user
A Goodreads user asked Darren Shan:

Hey! I'm 14 and I have read all your books at least 3 times in English, French and my native language(Persian) since I was only 8! But right now I'm looking for new books to read and I know it's not really nice to ask an author for another author but I was wondering do you know any other authors that have the same writing style/genre as you or any series that are like your series(More specifically Cirque Du Freak)?
