As to your question, I've not given up on writing...am still in the early chapters of a contemporary novel featuring older women...and have two more plots waiting in the recesses of my mind, begging to be sorted into words. I just can't recall a time when I've been more busy. I drive ten hours fairly often to help my dear sis care for my 90-year-old, recently-widowed father. I need to buckle down and write SOMETHING every day, even if only a paragraph, to get back into creative rhythm. This is far more than you asked far, dear lady, but please know your sweet reminder that I still have readers has given me renewed energy toward the task. Take care, luv, and thanks again!
