Kamelkatt asked Manny Rayner:

When viewing your book "The New Adventures of Socrates", Amazon lists three Ayn Rand books as "products related to this item". Would you say your writing relates to that of Ayn Rand? Also, I want to buy my books from a store whose owner doesn't bathe in money while having his workers slave for minimum wage. Which bookstore do you recommend?

Manny Rayner Well, Ayn Rand claimed to have been influenced by Aristotle, who was a student of Plato, who was a student of Socrates. I can't deny that there's a relationship here. But I should warn you that my take on Socrates is rather different from that of the late Ms Rand. I hope no Objectivists have impulse-bought the book on Amazon's recommendation and been cruelly disappointed.

If you want to go local, I see that Tanum list it.
