Is this book homophobic?

However, it does view a homosexual lifestyle as a sin. If we believe the Bible is true though, we have to accept that it is a biblical fact that a homosexual lifestyle is sinful. However, the beauty of this book is that Jackie notes the difference between living a homosexual lifestyle and being same-sex attracted. She acknowledges that being same-sex attracted is something that people may not be able to control and that THAT is not a sin. She highlights that we all have our own areas of temptation --no sin is greater than the other--, but it's what we do with those temptations that matter. So if you read this book from the viewpoint that living a homosexual lifestyle is a sin, you definitely won't view it as homophobic. However, if you believe it's false that a homosexual lifestyle is a sin and define homosexuality as anything that states that it is, then yes you will by default think this book is homophobic. (less)
