who inspired you? whats your favorite book you wrote? do you have another job?

I was lucky enough to quit my day job almost 11 years ago. What inspires me are good books that I read and hearing from readers who like my books. I have two favorite books. I love Girl, Stolen because the research into blindness was so interesting. And in The Girl I Used to Be, I created a character just like my mom - Nora. My mom was dying when I wrote the book. She was fine with dying. I was not so fine with it. So by writing someone like her into the book, it was a small way of keeping her alive.
