My granddaughter loves to read and I have just received the 5 books in this series - my question is she is 17 - would this be appropriate to send her after I finished - I couldn't find any reviews

Mass, Stacey Marie Brown, Rae Carson, Octavia Butler or N.K. Jemisin. Stacey Elliott is also a great author. Mercedes Lackey put out a book called 'Hunter' that better than The Hunger Games. The sex scenes are explicit and celebrate rape of women and men which is vulgar and unnecessary. The books are worse than the HBO series. (less)

Victor Joceran At 17 you're allowed to watch rated R content and mature television. So therefore mature reads should be fine for 17 year olds. And "young lady", seri ...more

Meg Actually I feel Sarah J. Maas also has graphic depictions of sex and violence, but never having read Game of Thrones, I can't really compare. ...more
