I have been seeing such negative ratings for Tana French's newest standalone The Witch Elm...I am really surprised. Waiting patiently for the release date so I can read this for myself, I feel it will be a great fall read, I hope I am not going to be disappointed?

The characters are so powerful that I actually dreamed about them at night. Sometimes the main character is not so loveable and is a lot more human than we would like. He is self-destructive and cannot seem to get out of his own way. But he is frank. It is a good read. (less)
