For me the writing process if fun and rewarding; marketing and sales is a different story. Unless you are very lucky, you will need to do lots of marketing and sales to drive readers... so, decide early if you are writing for yourself or for others. If yourself, just have fun. If for others, make sure you are ready and willing to learn how to market your works.
