In my last series I tried to explore AI from a different standpoint. In my next book, I want to take some of the more recent results in fundamental physics, and take those to extreme conclusions.

For me the writing process if fun and rewarding; marketing and sales is a different story. Unless you are very lucky, you will need to do lots of marketing and sales to drive readers... so, decide early if you are writing for yourself or for others. If yourself, just have fun. If for others, make sure you are ready and willing to learn how to market your works.

I write part-time (I have a full time job). So, the best part for me is that it allows me to tune out my day-to-day and spend time in a more interesting place.

I haven't had a bad case of writer's block. When I'm stuck, I jump ahead in the story and write a chapter; then I'm forced to fill in the details.
