I absolutely adore your books, can’t get enough of them. How long does the journey take once the world goes white? Does anything happen in the meantime while travelling? I assume the journey must have some length as emergency extraction is quicker. Also, where has Van Owen gone? Did she get better? Will she come back? Thanks xx

I'm sorry I haven't answered this before - I've only just seen it, so very sorry. I've deliberately kept the length of the journeys quite loose, although there is a very brief mention in the upcoming Christmas story. Before you become too excited, you won't be any the wiser when you've read it.
Regarding your second query - yes, I have plans for Van Owen.
Again, sorry to take so long getting back to you.
Best wishes, Jodi.

Thank you for your amazing characters and stories! I haven't been as taken with a story for ages as I was with Just One Damned Thing .. <3 I started to question my own assumption that this was set in the near future. You mention riots and the "Battersea Barricades" and the US "closing their borders" made me think this was set in a future post-system-collapse world with a deliberately vague date? Am I wrong?

Hi Jodi! I have a question about Another Time, Another Place. Clark and Prentiss are arrested in Babylon and have to stay because of the baby. My question, why didn’t the Time Police rescue them like they’ve done for Max in the past? Or why didn’t another team jump to right before the moment they were arrested, just like they’ve done before to include in the same book (Amy Dudley)

I'm just wondering why on earth you chose the name "Sarah Smith" for the biggest bitch since Bitch-Face Barclay. I don't know how deep or wide your familiarity with Doctor Who is, but Sarah *Jane* Smith is one of the most beloved companions the show ever featured; was the name just coincidence?
