The Ship of the Dead then goes on to have an epilogue that takes place a month or so later, and by then, there's not sign that Magnus has been taken to Valhalla. It seems like the dead have to be snatched up by Valkyries pretty quickly, so the fact that we didn't see Jason in the final book indicates that he passed on to the Underworld, not Valhalla.(less)
