What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Jane Thynne Writing, telling a story and living in your own created world is great enough, but for it to be paid employment, well, that's really a dream job! I also love the research that my novels involve, visiting locations, plunging myself into the literature and culture of the time - in my case the 1930s.
