I was always interested in the Third Reich, but I wanted to know about the female side of it - how if felt to be a woman living under that very misogynistic regime. Clara Vine, who is an Anglo-German actress, has the opportunity to come into contact with several of the Nazi wives, and I wanted to explore how much they knew about the activities of their husbands, and whether they influenced them. I also wanted to capture that swirling atmosphere in 1939 on the brink of war as spies circled in the shadows. Being a spy also involves personal sacrifice, and Clara can't escape that in her personal life.

I hate to butt in, but I live in the USA and I was looking to read Black Roses and I was going to mention that it is available to purchase on Amazon for anyone in the USA that would like to have a copy. That is how I was able to read it. By the way I love reading your books. I just recently purchased your new book Woman in the Shadows. I was able to win a copy of The Pursuit of Pearls. Do you plan on a 5th book soon?

Hi Jane, I'll be reading Solitaire next after the other books in the Clara Vine series. I've enjoyed all of them! My question is when will the next book in the series be available for purchase on Amazon and Audible? I saw this same question asked and answered by you, but it was 2 years ago. Will the next book be anytime soon (June 2019)
