What was your inspiration for Tell Me Lies? I’m dying to know!!

Carola Lovering Hi! Tell Me Lies was originally inspired by a conversation I had with one of my best friends, about a year after we graduated from college. We were discussing the prevalence of toxic relationships in our generation, and recalling some of our (and our friends') darkest memories from college. After that I was very motivated to write a story that would convey this addictive, all-consuming, and ultimately destructive dynamic in a real and relatable way.

Lucy and Stephen's voices are so distinct and SO vivid. Did you alternate their POVs as you were writing, or did you have to stay in one character's voice for multiple scenes, and then break up the chapters later?
