Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Andrew M. Tanner Bits and pieces have been coming into my mind for as long as I can remember. As a grade schooler I used to hang out a lot by myself at recess, carrying on conversations with generals and admirals from World War 2 for no apparent reason. In high school I hunted and fished with my dad quite a lot, and worked at the family firewood business 30 hours or so each week in summer, working at a hydraulic logsplitter. And I served briefly in the military, where I met a lot of great people whose lives were permanently changed by their experiences in Iraq.

But I only recently realized that all the images actually 'fit' together into the same story. Bringing Ragnarok is the (ongoing, developing) result.
