Lois McMaster Bujold:
In the WoFG Universe, you have shown characters who are the saints of the Father, Mother, Daughter, and Bastard. Is there such a thing as a saint of the Son? If so, what are their powers and function?
Lois McMaster Bujold
Good question, which I would probably need a book to stop and work out. Although Inglis, if not a saint, certainly earned his god's attention at the end of "Penric and the Shaman". He also had a cameo in The Hallowed Hunt.
But yes, there should be saints of the son; His turf being comradeship, the hunt, autumn harvest, there should be room to speculate.
"Guardian of young males" tends to be a pretty thankless task, but someone's got to do it. Five gods know they need it. Also a good question where, aside from biological fatherhood, the two gods would have their hand-off of allegiance.

Lois McMaster Bujold:
When I read my friend's blog about her newfound passion for all things Bujold, I was very surprised to learn that she doesn't love Cordelia (though her reason makes sense cf http://www.alicebulmer.com/me-and-lois-mcmaster-bujold/) Everyone else I've ever talked with about Cordelia adores her, but now I wonder whether you have come across anyone else not so keen on Cordelia?

Lois McMaster Bujold:
I've been listening -- again -- to the audiobook of "Captain Vorpatril's Alliance" and paying extra attention to Simon and Shiv's interaction. It occurred to me to wonder if Simon knew (from the Arquas) that the elevator to the bunker had been blown up and that was why he questioned the "marked clear" designation. Until the mycoborer, that was the only entrance, presumably. Or might that be one of your rare oops?

I just finished The Assassins of Thasalon and it wasn't enough. But thank you. It was over too quickly and I couldn't figure out what Bujold to read next, so I just started rereading it. A question did come up while reading the reference to the petty saint at the party. What is the difference between a petty saint and a (non-petty) saint?
