Valerie Lovelock asked this question about Homegoing:
Would this book be appropriate for a high school class to use? I am teaching a world cultures class and I think I would like to use this book as a suggested reading. I have a copy on the way to me, but I don't have it yet. Thoughts?

I don't know the culture of your school or community, but I think it's a bit too graphic for a high school classroom. It deals with very adult issues, and there are some disturbing scenes involving rape, a hanging, and other violence. I don't believe high school is the best audience for this book, but you might be able to use excerpted chapters. (less)
