(view spoiler)[In “Bloody Rose”, couple questions... when Fable was in Ruangoth following Grudge, Rose mentioned not losing Grudge or they would be lost in the dark. Why would she say that if she had the pink shell in her bag that Moog gave her? Also doesn’t Freecloud have night vision?
2nd question Druins are immortal and Freecloud is a Druid. So is Freecloud immortal? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Hi Julie,
Regarding Ruangoth and Grudge, Rose DOES have that shell and Freecloud CAN see in the dark, but the light from the shell is weak and Freecloud having to lead everyone by hand would be dreadfully inconvenient. Also, the 'lost' part is key here, as they don't know their way around the citadel.
Druins live for a very, very, very long time and age so slowly that humans consider them immortal, yes. They can still be hurt or killed like anyone else, however.
Thanks for reading my book! (hide spoiler)]

In Bloody Rose I'm getting a bit of a FFX vibe (I think that's partially due to a summoner named CURA, and Grudge reminding me of Don Tonberry)
Were you/are you inspired by video games? If so, which are you playing now?
Thanks! Love this series a lot!

Love it! Since I play drums as a hobby, I find myself gravitating toward a variety of musical genres as well. Classic rock, prog-rock, big band, fusion, and jazz to name a few. Do you listen to music when you write? I have found instrumental music (symphonies and movie soundtracks) to be inspiring.
