I loved Kings of the Wyld and can’t wait to read Bloody Rose (just waiting for a day I can binge it all at once XD) What was your favourite part to write in kings of the Wyld?
Nicholas Eames
I think probably the final battle, where all the bands come streaming out of the Threshold. I'd been imagining it for more than a year, walking to work while blasting Freebird on repeat and envisioning how it would go, so getting to blast Freebird while finally putting it to paper (as it were) was really fulfilling.
I hope you love Bloody Rose as well whenever you eventually read it! While I think KotW is a one-in-a-million idea that I'm extremely lucky to have thought of, I'm much more proud of the poignant scenes and the character work in the second book.

Hey Nicholas! I've been trying to think of a question to ask you for a while now. Here's one. Have you planned what you're going write next, once the Band trilogy is done? If you have, what will it be like? And thanks for Ganelon and Larkspur, I hope they're there in the future books!

Hi Nicholas, I recently discovered, and tore through Kings of the Wyld. Honestly, it felt like you wrote the book specifically for me. I didn't read your bio until the end expected to read that you were also a DnD nerd, in your late 40s, with a tween daughter. You spoke to so many nuances of both DnD culture, mid-life crisis, and having a daughter. What experiences did you draw on for this book?
