Kimberely- I have been reading the Marriage Lie and am amazed at how the dialogue flows- Bravo !! My question is, do you find it easier to write dialogue for a character most like yourself or for a character that you despise??

Well, thank you!! I'm so thrilled to hear you're enjoying The Marriage Lie. :) As for your question, I used to think it was easier for me to write females, until I started writing book #5 (DEAR WIFE, out sometime in 2019) and the male characters' voices came so much easier. Maybe it was because they were both so very flawed, IDK, but both men spoke loudly and clearly in my head. All that goes to say, I think it depends on the story and the character. If things (character, dialogue, story) are fully developed in my head, they come easier to the page. Thanks for reading!

I think we are book soul sisters, too! It is funny you should mention Mary Kubica's new book. I just got an ARC of it. I am so excited to start reading it. I just finished reading "Still Missing" by Chevy Stevens. Have you ever read anything by her? I really enjoyed it. Let me know if you can think of any other titles. It sounds like we really enjoy reading a lot of the same books?

Sorry! I ran out of space.. I read all of the other titles you recommended except Pretty Ones by Karin Slaughter. I really enjoyed The Silent Wife.The tension in that book was palpable. I also really liked You Will Know Me. If you can think of any others, let me know! And of course I loved The Marriage Lie. I am ending with a ? Because we have to!
